Many times you get ‘Template Could not be found Error ‘ while installing a new style or while updating the phpbb version.
This error mainly occurs due to incompatibility of the styles or the phpbb version with the already installed theme .
1. To solve this you need to go ‘Phpmyadmin’
2. Click on the Phpbb database that your forum is using .
3. Search for Phpbb_users and browse the tables
4. Here we can see all the option fields including the password of all the users.
5. Now set the ‘ user style ‘ of the ‘Anonymous’ user to ‘1′ .
Since ‘1′ is the default style (Prosilver)
6. Now browse the tables of the admin user and again set the user style value to 1 .
Thats it , you are done.
Now log in into your forum and manually change the default style to Prosilver to come out of the problem.
Also for safety purpose you can also remove/delete the style folder which caused the problem.
